I'm Micaela Galla, founder of Galla Interiors.

With a Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design and over a decade of experience across design and sales, I founded Galla Interiors from a desire to bring character back into everyday living. In a world of repetition and fleeting trends, I design spaces that feel timeless — interiors that cannot be traced to a specific year, but instead feel layered, personal, and enduring.

Designing and building my own custom home deepened that understanding. I know firsthand the weight of the decisions, the investment involved, and the importance of trusting the right team. It's why my clients feel supported, heard, and guided from the very first conversation.

At Galla Interiors, we don't replicate. We design homes that reflect your story, your lifestyle, and your future. I work with a select number of clients each year — homeowners who are building or renovating with intention, and who want a home that is deeply personal and built to last.

  • A burrata salad to start, truffle aioli fries on the side, a creamy carbonara for the main, and my favourite tiramisu for dessert.

  • I'm manifesting designing a custom home along the St. Lawrence River — one that carries the same charm as a Nantucket or Hamptons estate. Filled with character, large windows, natural stone, soft furnishings, and an exterior landscape lined with garden beds full of hydrangeas.

  • Blue. I learned through my own home that it's the colour I naturally gravitate towards most — it feels calming, versatile, and endlessly elegant.

  • It's a close tie between candles and flowers. Candles set the mood and make you want to linger at the table longer. Fresh flowers bring character and life. Ideally, both.

  • Timeless, quietly elegant, collected.

  • Nantucket or Italy. Anywhere near the water quite honestly.

  • Neither — I guard my sleep carefully. A well-rested designer is a better designer.

  • Kitchens. They are both beautiful and functional, with endless configurations and details to consider. A kitchen can always be tailored in a way that feels entirely unique to each home and each person. And truly — it is the heart of the home.
